Changes to script

We have changed our script, we now start with Aleisha saying goodbye to Abbie, this means we also cut out the first phone call. We also now finish with the line "where are you, I don't believe you" and then there's a slam at the kitchen window, with Toby holding Abbies face against the window, covered in blood.

Horror film planning

Horror film planning

Title sequence - baddy has loads of surveillance images of me, chooses one, extreme close up (blurry) of a book in which he places the chosen photo, camera pans up and audience sees surveillance images of other girls, including dates etc and memoirs of their deaths, this will connote to the audience that I will be next

Horror film planning

Opening scene - me and Abbie in the lounge, the phone rings, and we have a 'jokey' conversation, and after I've hung up I say about how it was just a prank caller, Abbie goes home and I keep receiving the phone calls, one says "I just saw your friend leave" etc, in another phone call he says "don't hang up or I'll kill you!" then there is a 3 screen split (me, delivery girl at front door, 'baddy' at back door) I start panicking etc

Film production company logo's

20th century fox - The gold colour and the low angle used to show height, connotes power to the audience
Some of the films they have produced are; Alvin and the Chipmunks, Dr Dolittle, Home Alone, Garfield and Predator.

DreamWorks - The image of the young child fishing on the moon connotes to the audience that this company makes fantasy films that are probably suitable for children.
Some of the films they have produced are; Antz, the prince of Egypt, Chicken Run, the cat in the hat and Shrek.

Paramount - the image of the mountain peak connotes that they are the top production company around, the best. The stars around the mountain peak connote that their films have the 'A list' celebrity actors and actresses that are desired by other companies.
Some of the films they have produced are; The curious case of Benjamin Button, Hotel for dogs, Monsters vs aliens and Ironman.

Universal - the image of earth connotes that the films they produce are 'out of this world' and that the company is hugely successful.

We analysed the title sequence of the film 'The Italian Job' (2003). We noticed that the film began as many other films begin, starting with the production company logo 'Paramount Pictures' etc. The film then opened to a scene showing snippets of Venice, maps, plans for something and a police station. The opening scene introduced characters, as most other films also do. The opening scene lasted 2 minutes and 21 seconds.
